So what types of containers do you use for the cargo you are shipping? Find out now!
Standard
The standard container,
also known as a “dry storage container,” is the most commonly used type of
container. This container is used for shipping dry materials and come in
multiple sizes, including 10 ft, 20 ft, or 40 ft. Your international shipping company will probably suggest this type of container for your basic shipping needs.
Refrigerated
These containers are temperature regulated, with a low controlled temperature. They are used for shipping perishable items, like fruits and vegetables over long distances. However, most international shipping companies can’t help you ship food overseas because of the many regulations.
Flatrack
A flatrack container is
a shipping container with collapsible sides. The foldable sides make it easy to
load heavy cargo onto this container. It is usually used for construction equipment shipping, and
other heavy materials that need to be loaded from the top, or the sides of the
container.
