First - you obviously need a villain, a hero and a lady in distress
Second - you need a suspense filled plot line that keeps you on the edge of your seat
Third- you need a couple of fast-paced, action filled sequences
In regards to the third requirement, nothing satisfies a movie-goer more than a crazy, action-packed, thrilling car chase scene. Sure there are the fight scenes, the scenes that add a twist to the plot, or the scenes that give you a glimpse of the handsome hero and beautiful lady in distress. But nothing makes viewers slightly envious of the perks of being an actor as watching a great car chase scene. Who doesn't dream of driving through the streets at 100 miles per hour with complete disregard for the rules of the road?
At K International, we know how you feel, we secretly have the same dream. As a leading international car shipping company, we have car envy every single day! As a tribute, we honor the top five best car chases in movie history - let us know what you think!
Gone in 60 Seconds
Most movies are approximately 1.5 to 2 hours long, so you should have at least a few minutes of action mixed in there somewhere. The original Gone in 60 Seconds is known as the mother of all movie car crashes. Imagine a whopping 34 minutes worth of car chases! There are a bevy of great vehicles in the movie, but none is as popular as "Eleanor" the 1973 Ford Mustang featured in the movie. One of the most popular vehicles we ship overseas is the Ford Mustang. We offer overseas car shipping services for vintage and brand new Ford Mustangs from the United States to Europe, the Middle East, Asia, the Mediterranean and everywhere else in between!

The Blues Brothers
The next car chase on our list is from The Blues Brothers. The car crashes in the movie even set a world record! A whopping 103 cars were wrecked during the movie! This record stood until 2000, when the updated The Blues Brothers movie wrecked 104 cars. In the movie the car chase includes a scene that takes place in a mall! The cop cars, aka "Bluesmobiles", used in the movie were retired Dodge Monaco's. For car collectors, a Dodge Monaco is highly prized, but parts for the vehicle are hard to find. Today collectors around the world turn to Ford Crown Victoria's instead to get a similar vehicle. Each year hundreds of Ford Crown Victoria's are shipped overseas to the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, from the United States.

Bullitt
Bullitt is probably one of the most well-known classic car chase scenes in movie history. The chase takes place through the hilly streets of San Francisco. The chase scene includes the popular actor Steve McQueen burning rubber in a 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback. No list of popular movie car chase scenes would be complete without mentioning Bullitt.

The French Connection
The movie The French Connection not only took home the Academy Award for Best Motion Picture in 1971, but it also was further embedded into movie history as containing one of the best car chase scenes. In the movie one of the main character's "Popeye" grabs a civilian's 1971 Pontiac LeMans and drives through the streets of New York City in hot pursuit of his target. NYC is a pretty crowded city, so imagine ignoring all rules of the road to film this car chase...

Quantum of Solace
No one drives fast cars like James Bond, so of course he had to be included somewhere on the list. One of the best car sequences is in the Quantum of Solace movie. In the movie James Bond navigates the windy roads near Lake Garda Italy in his Aston Martin while being chased by two Alfa Romeos. In the end, the two Romeos are completely destroyed and James Bond's Aston Martin makes it out a little dusty...but with no major damage.
